Fish and Chips Recipe

(Low Fat Recipe)

Ingredients:  Serves 4, Oven: Preheat to 200C

4 potatoes, peeled and cut into wedges
cooking oil spray
4 boneless fish fillets
cup low-fat milk
1 cup breadcrumbs
lemon wedges and salad, to serve

 

Method:

Line 2 oven trays with baking paper.  Arrange potatoes on 1 tray.  Spray with oil and season to taste.  Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes.  Meanwhile, dip each fish fillet in milk and coat with crumbs, pressing firmly.  Place on second tray. Spray with oil and season to taste.  Bake fish with chips in preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, turning fish halfway through cooking, until golden and cooked through.  Serve with lemon wedges and salad.

 

Note:  Remember to use a low-fat dressing with salad.
