Low-Fat Strawberry Trifle Recipe

(Low-Fat Recipe)

Ingredients:  Serves 4

4 fat-free trifle sponges

2 tablespoons sweet sherry

150 g (5 oz) fresh strawberries, sliced

1 packet strawberry jelly

1 x 75 g (3 oz) packet instant low-fat custard

2 x 150 g (2 x 5 oz) pots low-fat vanilla-flavored yoghurt

extra strawberries to decorate

 

Method:

Break the trifle sponges into 4 individual trifle dishes, drizzle with sherry and cover with sliced strawberries.  Make up the jelly as per the packet instructions and pour on top.  Place in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours until set.  Make up the instant custard using boiling water and spoon onto the set jelly.  Allow to cool slightly, then cover with the vanilla-flavored yoghurt.  Decorate with fresh strawberries and serve.
